Last Saturday our desire of creating a successful Strategic Plan brought together our Board of Trustees, Management Team and our key Stakeholders from different sectors.
In the past three years we have made significant strides and achieved a number of our goals through our campaign ‘A Desk For Every Child’. We also realized that with the growth and success we need a concrete plan to guide us in the coming years.
A student and her teacher from Kimbiji Primary School also attended the session as one of our key stakeholders. We asked her what was the experience like for her and she said;
“ Kuja hapa kumenisaidia kwa kiasi kikubwa. Nimejua jinsi ya kuokoa maisha ya wanafunzi shuleni,na kujitolea kwa moyo mmoja. Pia nimejifunza na mimi nisome kwa bidii ili niweze kuwa kama HMT". This translates to “Attending this session has helped me tremendously. It has taught me how to save the lives of pupils, and the spirit of giving from the heart. I’ve also learned to study hard so that I can be like HMT”.
This has been a long time coming for us to get to this stage of the planning. We left the session on a positive high excitement for HMT’s future and the future of our programs.
