How to donate items to the HMT Charity Shop

Donate goods
Our charity shop relies on your donations and it couldn’t be easier to help.
By simply having a sort out and donating any unwanted items to The Hassan Maajar Trust Charity shop you can raise money and provide ‘A Desk For Every Child’ - without it costing you a cent.
How to donate
Donating goods is really easy. Find out how to get your bags to us, whether you are giving as:
An individual- if you’re having a clear out at home
Part of a group- whether it is a scout pack, a church or group of friends
Or a business-there are lots of options to make donating goods as simple as possible.
What you can donate
We are really grateful for donations of any of the following. They fly off our shelves and help raise money for improving the learning environment in our schools across the country.
·      Men’s, women’s and children’s clothing
·      Accessories including shoes, belts, handbags and jewellery
·      Quality homeware - anything from cushions to crockery
Linens
·      Books, Children’s toys, CDs, DVDs
·      Mobile phones and other electronic items

What not to donate
Unfortunately we are unable to sell:
·      Any damaged goods, or those which are nor in good selling conditions
·      Electronic items such as fridges, wash machines, microwaves etc
How to donate
Once you have sorted out the goods you would like to donate there are several ways to give them to us whether you are an individual, part of a group or a business, you can drop your donated goods at our Shop at The Arcade Building on Old Bagamoyo Road, Mikocheni A. Or contact us for pick up.
Why you should donate today
One bag of items could be worth as much as Tsh 50,0000 to Tsh 100,000. Just five bags could fund for two desks, which will seat 3 or 4 children.

Let’s play our part and sit every child in Tanzania on a desk.
Thank you for your support.
