Tigo Tuchange and Hassan Maajar Trust 3rd March 2012

Tigo Tuchange is an initiative that takes place a number of times a year and each time there is a selected recipient. This year Hassan Maajar Trust was selected as the beneficiary. 


The initiative involved all Tigo subscribers who bought airtime through Tigo Rusha, they automatically contributed towards education in Tanzania.


The exercise run for one hour, from 11am - 12pm. This meant when a Tigo subscriber bought more that 500/- Tigo Rusha (E-pin) within in that hour, they had directly contributed towards a Desk For Every Child.


For every amount a Tigo customer contributed within that hour, Tigo matched that amount.
So if a customer contributed Tsh 5,000 Tigo matched it to give Tsh 10,000 to the cause.
